Cprice is a company that card payment machine that allow payment by tagging a card. In collaboration with hs² studio and Cprice, we conducted research and design on a small card payment machine with Cprice’s unique brand identity. Keeping in mind that it is a product with a simple function that only processes payment, the overall appearance is designed to be simple, and the simplification of functions is implied.

Cprice는 카드를 태그하여 결제할 수 있는 카드 단말기를 제조하는 회사입니다. hs² studio와 Cprice 와의 콜라보레이션을 통해 Cprice만의 브랜드 아이덴티티를 담은 소형 카드 단말기에 관한 연구와 디자인을 진행하였습니다. 결제만을 진행하는 단순한 기능을 가진 제품임을 염두하여 전체적인 외관은 심플하게 디자인하여 기능의 단순화를 내포하였습니다.

The appearance of the product was designed according to the size of the card to show the essential functions of the product. The alphabet containing the brand’s initials is expressed through the vent hole on the back of the product to convey the brand’s identity.

제품의 외형은 카드의 사이즈에 맞추어 디자인하여 제품이 가진 본질적인 기능을 보여줄 수 있도록 하였습니다. 브랜드의 이니셜을 담은 알파벳을 제품의 뒷면 벤트홀로 표현하여 제품에 브랜드의 아이덴티티를 담아내도록 하였습니다.

The overall size is the same as the card to represent the product tagging the card. Since it is a product that contains only the most basic functions in charge of payment, it is designed to focus on the original essence of the product as a simple modeling.

카드를 태그하는 제품을 나타내고자 전체적인 크기는 카드와 동일하게 하였습니다. 결제만을 담당하는 가장 기본적인 기능만을 담고 있는 제품이기에 심플한 조형으로써 제품 본연의 본질에 집중하도록 디자인하였습니다.

To capture the brand’s identity, Cprice’s representative alphabet was expressed through the vent hole on the back of the product. It serves as a point for products with simple shapes.

브랜드의 아이덴티티를 담아내고자 Cprice의 대표 알파벳을 제품의 뒷면 벤트홀로 표현하였습니다. 심플한 조형을 지닌 제품의 포인트가 되는 역할을 합니다.
